Try Think: Kama‘āina Watch Party in partnership with the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival

August 5, 2020 @ 6:00 am - 7:15 am

Date: Wednesday August 5th, 4:00-5:15pm HST – Via Zoom (link will be sent after registering)

We are excited to partner with the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival in its premiere of Kimi Howl Lee’s award winning short film Kama‘āina–a film about queer youth losing and finding home on the Wai‘anae Coast, and created in meaningful collaboration with the Pu‘uhonua o Wai‘anae community. On Wednesday, August 5th, join Try Think for a watch party for this 15-min short, and some time afterward to share our thoughts and experiences and connect with each other around issues of home, gender, and safety.

To register for this event, click on this Google Form link.
You can find more information about the film at https://filmfreeway.com/Kamaaina.

If you have any questions, please contact Rob Chang at rchang@hihumanities.org.
