Bill of Rights Commemorative Exhibit Coming to Hawai‘i

HONOLULU—The Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities (HCH) has partnered with the National Archives and Records Administration along with the Federation of State Humanities Councils to provide a free pop-up exhibit observing the 225th anniversary of the Bill of Rights to 43 display sites in Hawai‘i. The Bill of Rights and You exhibit was created by the National Archives as part of its Amending America Initiative exploring the importance of the Bill of Rights, its history and implementation, and its impact today.

To commemorate the 225th anniversary of the Bill of Rights, which will be observed nationwide on December 15 of this year, participating venues will display the exhibit and are encouraged to hold public programs about the power of the Bill of Rights and our enduring system of government.

HCH coordinated the effort to identify exhibit sites on the islands of Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i and O‘ahu, and worked with the National Archives to help ensure all participating sites receive the exhibit as well as digital educational and press materials in a timely manner.
