The Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities is pleased to present three Giving Circles that will preserve, protect, and expand HCH public humanities programs.

Your generous support will keep the humanities alive and flourishing in Hawai‘i.  A pledge to join the Maile and/or Kukui Circles for five years allows HCH to receive a matching award of $100 per circle from an anonymous donor.

However, your donation makes a difference, no matter the amount.  Secure donations can be made by clicking the “Donate” button on the top right corner of this website. Or please mail your check to our office at 3599 Wai‘alae Avenue, Room 25, Honolulu, HI 96816.

Help us connect people with ideas that broaden perspectives, enrich lives and strengthen communities today!

The Maile Circle at $500 supports public programs, like Motheread® in the prisons, reading-discussion programs, literary and oral history dramatizations, and a book on the music of Hawai‘i.

The Kukui Circle at $500 supports our programs for K-12 students and teachers, like Hawai‘i History Day and collaborative workshops and institutes for teachers.

The ‘Ulu Circle at $250 gives general support for either type of HCH programs and activities.
