Preservation & Access Grant
Preservation & Access Grant is designed to support the preservation of state and community resources, such as historical documents, photographs, artifacts, oral traditions and languages, and to make these cultural resources readily accessible to local communities, scholars, and the general public.
Since 1993, HCH has assisted numerous libraries, museums, historical societies and cultural centers, archives and community groups in making humanities resources available for researchers and the general community. Preservation projects include the preservation of basic records and documents, historical photographs and films or videos, the creation and transcription of oral histories, translation projects and community histories.
Public program required. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations or public institutions serving Hawai‘i audiences. Preservation & Access Grant applications may be submitted at any of the three application deadlines per year.
